Red Boots on Wet Cobbles

It's cold and it's raining, and I stood in the street while M paid for our new gas heater (yay!) and thought how much I love this place - the cobblestoned streets, the gentle people, the big chimneys, the swooping pigeons, the simple, healthy food, and the rich red wines - amongst much else.

Went to Évora for vehicle inspection - it passed. And thought how much I loved that town as well - we ate a sublime seafood feijoada (bean stew) - perfect for this weather.

And a PS to yesterday's 1460th entry - I never mentioned the joy I get from the community - it was getting too long, and I guess it's a given, but just saying - thanks to each one of you who makes Blip what it is.
