Cinderella

Well not quite. If I heard right, it's Lenie. Angie is the evil step-sister of Lina's Dad, Peter. We were in Olching near Munich to visit Lenie's grandfather Sepp who had celebrated his 82nd birthday yesterday. It was our first opportunity to see Lenie and proud Mum, Sandra.

Lenie was born on 22 October. I have a Blip from October 1990 on the subject of births that I will post. I hope Lenie has a long and healthy life and ´will one day be able to laugh about the events in the year of her birth.

Today was dreadful weather-wise and even got a bit worried about leaving the house with the adjoining stream about to break its banks. We left the dogs at home to defend it and Eddie who continues to spend most of his time in a cage. I don't like the look of his bandaged leg, the shoulder is showing out of the jacket, the scar from the operation are visible and he carries it as though it was stuck on but not attached. Angie called the vet this morning who said to try and bandage it as best as possible and come by on Monday.

When we got home all was well, the dogs had done an excellent job. I think it's the first time they have not gone with us to Angie's Dad - that's 13 years for Flash and every visit has been accompanied by heaps of specially cooked meat from Sepp. We didn't tell Flash where we had been.

Oh and by the way, the kitten we got Sepp a few weeks ago is doing fine.
