Soggy Monday

This just about sums up Monday - it rained all day long!

We had a bit of a nightmare journey to get home as we (and everyone else) were trying to find routes gone that avoided all the flooded roads.

My friend was super lucky to get home as she started driving through what looked like a big puddle and ended up with water over the bonnet and coming through the door seals so she was knee deep in water. The car got her home though, and her partner spent the evening syphoning out the water. Sensibly she is going to work from home today .

We were spared a soggy night at football practice as the Astro pitch was flooded - so it was not quite an all weather pitch!
