Refugees

A meeting in the Big City at 2pm.

A perfect excuse for lunch there beforehand. Laila's is one of my favourites if I'm close to Waverley Station - just 2 minutes away. Fleshmarket Close has a nice hint of... something about it.

It's a Middle Eastern place, but they have burgers and sandwiches too.

My köfte panini was fusion food I suppose, and quite a mouthful as you'll see from the Blip. Not often the human dustbin doesn't clear his plate.

They're collecting donations for a refugee camp to buy lunch for pupils at the school. An optional £1 is added to the bill. Excellent idea. Enjoyed my lunch even more. Would have been £5 in my case if their operative had known how to do that on the card machine.
