A long day.

6am alarm and out the door just after 7.

The travel was mostly trouble free - never to be take for granted at this time of year. The flight was about 45 minutes late. easyJet lost a bag and then lost a passenger so we all sat on the plane waiting impatiently while they sorted out their confusion.

Ice hockey in the evening - Ingolstadt v Augsburg in a local derby. They lost 2:4 so I’m feeling the pain of €35 for the ticket plus €15 for beer and bratwurst (ice hockey makes me hungry and thirsty - just like everything else).

It was fun for 2 periods. Big noisy crowd (almost 4,000) and it looked like it could go either way at 1:2 for Augsburg. They got 2 quick goals at the start of the 3rd period and Ingolstadt never looked good enough to get them back.

The Blip is Augsburg’s Tölzer giving the TV interview after the 2nd period. The interviewer is in a Telekom studio in Düsseldorf. The crowd don’t get to hear it, but like the footballer TV interviews, they’re usually a waste of time. In ice hockey the players actually get out of breath, so their oxygen depleted brains have an excuse.
