Life through the lens...

Cygnets no longer

Last blipped these on 7th August.

When do cygnets become young swans?
If it was nearer Christmas I could have called it " Seven swans a swimming"
except they weren't swimming and there were more than seven!
However it is nice to see them growing up, and mum still keeping an eye on them.

Lovely sunny day for a change.
Made the most of it with a visit to Rodley Nature Reserve.
You could actually feel some warmth in the sunshine as we walked round.
Highlight was the kingfisher, which was perched on a branch.
As usual, just got the camera focused, and it flew off!
A chap we got talking to said he had waited 5 hours one day to get a photo, and it never showed up!! Now I just haven't got that sort of patient.

I do so admire  the dedicated photographers who bring us such wonderful photos as those we see on " Planet Earth".
Their skill, patient, courage, and dedication is amazing.

I'm not sure if this shot fits the bill for Wide Wednesday, but I have tagged it all the same.

Let's hope this sun stays around for a bit longer.
