The Lozarithm Lens

Devizes (Wednesday 23rd November 2016)

There should have been seven swans in the pond just below the churchyard in this picture, as this was the sight that fell before me as I crossed the road to compose the photograph for Blip. By the time I had extracted the camera from my shoulder bag and got the strap around my neck and raised it to my eye they had all made their way towards me, doubtless in the expectation of food, and only two of them were still in shot.
This is the Crammer pond, on the east side of Devizes, near to Morrison's, where I had gone to buy some of their yummy wheat, rye and spelt bread.
