Sem Teto

"Sem Teto" means Without a Roof in English. Sem Teto lives in our street. He spends his days walking up and down the street, lying in the shade of a palm tree, chasing motorcycles or visiting his pals who live in the neighborhood. 
When it rains, or when the sun is too hot, he seeks refuge under the cars parked along our street. A number of neighbors have tried to take him in, offering him a cool spot under a roof. Sem Teto never stayed long. Soon he'd start howling and ask to be freed. 
We respect his will. We limit ourselves to feeding him and to taking him to the vet from time to time to see if everything is ok with our friend.
Sem Teto is lame on one leg because he was run over by cars several times. Still he seems to prefer freedom over security.
