Cerinthe major

I'm so proud of this plant - grown from seed, and it's putting on such a wonderful show.  The gorgeous bluish purplish bracts, and the intense colour of the small flowers is spectacular.  And the bees love them as you can see.

I've never grown it before, but seen it often in others' gardens.  It seems to like it here, which it should being Mediterranean in origin.

Thanks for all the good wishes about the ankle.  It's a bit better today, so I was able to hobble around and do some watering first thing.  It's warming up a bit.
