The next morning we set off on a walk up Wetherlam via Steel Edge, although we missed the scramble and went up a ridge to the south.  No matter though because it was a lovely walk with patches of quite deep snow and with an interesting (read steep and rocky) descent to finish.  We all slipped over a few times, which is ok in the grass and bracken but not so much fun on the hard track at the end of the walk... in other words my bum is bruised and I've done a little something to my left wrist. Then a quick cup of tea and change of trousers before heading out to the pub.
