Day three of DellCon9 and a chance to get out an old favourite: Stephenson's Rocket - a nominally train-themed game but one of those games that could be mapped onto many different themes. Slug racing is often suggested by the shape of the dobbers and the track-laying process.
Took S and T to the station this evening and remembered that there was a double-headed steam train due to pas through tonight. Concluded that the world would be awash with photos and videos tomorrow and a beer or two with blipper/gamer Skyrider, who's staying an extra night, actually had more appeal than standing on a cold, anorak-filled station for an hour.
Beer was good, and my Farcebook feed is duly packed with steam trains the following morning. Result.
We watched the slightly daft SF film Adjustment Bureau this evening as a bit of an antidote to the brainstress of the weekend.
