Frosty

A rather long, fraught and Gallically emotional film last night Mon Roi - a monsieur who was alternately charming, manipulative and impossible, and always selfish and egoistic. It was frosty when we left for Bantry at 6.30pm and we woke up to a severe but beautiful whiteness this morning. I took the car in to be serviced and walked home - 8km along the coast, everywhere looking magical, so crisp and clear. Birds everywhere - curlew, oyster catchers, heron, egrets and tons of ducks. The tide was low and the banks by St James Church still frosty.

The new water cylinder had arrived and as I type Dink is doing the final twiddly bits necessary - there's a lot of gurgling going on. Hopefully there might be a bath tonight!

A Happy St Andrew's Day to all Scottish blippers.
