Goodbye Rusty!

I'll start by saying thanks for all the stars and hearts for yesterday's Blip! And now for today...
Rusty's owner returned from her foreign travel yesterday (a 25 hour journey) and stayed overnight with us before she drove the 3 hours home to Umeå.  Rusty was ecstatic with excitement when she walked into the house, which was nice for all concerned.
This morning we took a walk up the hill to tire Rusty a little before the car journey. He jumped onto one of our viewpoint rocks because we share a love of high places where we can see what is going on all around us!
As he stood there I took a few photographs and just before he jumped down he gave me a look that I caught on this image.
It has been a lot of fun being a dog-sitter these 10 days and we would definitely do it again if we were needed. However, it has also showed us that we don't want a dog of our own!  It was fun for a while but our everyday lives don't really leave room for all the daily routines a dog requires. Now we are on our own again and it is nice to be able to put things on the floor without them disappearing into hidden corners!
I think Rusty enjoyed his holiday and we enjoyed having him.  Goodbye Rusty, until the next time.
