what a wonderful surprise

me and miss mollie-boo have established some traditions - one of them being bird watching at the living-room window - she tucks into her kitty tower while i stand next to her - there we be, probably appearing like a bunch of nerdy geeks or something - staring out the window waiting for some kind of action to happen - usually it's miss mollie who spies something 1st - she has a much keener eye than i - however today it was me who spotted the geese and yelled in wonder - at the 'boo' they were coming over the tree line - in perfect goose formation - then we heard them honking away - if i hadn't just had hip surgery - i would have been able to run outside for this shot - but alas my body doesn't allow me that capability quite yet - so admittedly this shot is through the window

other than a slight crop, it's straight out of the camera - i decided it needed no fussing today - the late afternoon lighting in the blue sky made it just right - when i think about kitty companionship, my camera and a perfect blue sky - i think it doesn't get much better, does it? - i mean, not when you're talking about...
