Rainy Departure

We flew to San Francisco today, from JFK. It was pouring when we woke up this morning, and it continued steadily until our flight took off late in the afternoon.  The heaviest downpour that I had seen for months--I hope that that the Northampton area got as much.   Our friends Ellie and Carl drove from Oakland to pick us up--what a treat! We spent the night at their marvelous house.  Posted late the next day, just before I put up the next blip.
