Reflections at Knockdow

This artificial lake in the grounds of Knockdow House has been a favourite photo subject for several years now - or at least since we discovered that the road past it makes an excellent walk, largely untroubled with cars until the evening rush hour ...

Today the main component of the traffic was a large slurry tanker that trundled past at least three times on its way from source to field, trailing some very rural vapours in its wake. (As to the miasma that hung over the field where the muck-spreading was going on ... I draw a veil).

The pond, however, looked lovely, especially with the golden trees in the low sun reflected in the grey of the pond which (unsurprisingly) matched the vivid grey of the sky.

Took hunners of photos, btw ...
