Get your skates on...

This is St. Andrew's Square, Edinburgh.  Normally, it would be full of Scottish themed Christmas markets but this year they've moved those and just left the ice-rink here.  It's a bit of a shame since it's such a great city-centre space.  Anyway, the Melville Monument is looming large and there have been some nice skies recently which have made a colourful background and many of the trees are lit up which is also nice.  It's fun watching all the skaters on the rink - the kids there are so resilient - they take a tumble and are straight back up with big smiles on their faces - that's what I like - none of this wrapping up in cotton wool.  Nothing like a good battle-scar bruise to show off at school the next day.  Happy December everyone.
