New Planting

I drove to the estuary to check out the pohutukawa that grows by the entrance to one of the estuary walks. I was hoping there might be a flower or two open - but not yet.

Underneath and around the tree are some new plantings and this daisy like plant was one of them. I have no idea what  it is but the foliage reminded me of the Chatham Island forget-me-not. It is still a very young plant so hard to tell what the adult form will be.

This flower was in the shade - the ones in the sun were a too dazzling white to capture. The petals are unfortunately covered in dust from the road - too much to clone out.
