Mote Park Lake

Another superb day, clear, bright and cold. As you can see the lake is frozen over, allbeit with thin ice. This is the earliest I've seen it like this in many a year.

I was able to apply a coat of wood treatment and stain to the replaced hardwood in the conservatory at mid day. We were hoping to get the whole conservatory painted this autumn but it was not to be. I didn't want the new wood to be spoilt over winter.

Spent most of the afternoon creating a calendar for 2017 on one of these online photography sites. The calendar is made up with one blipfoto taken from each month this year. (Apart from December, which is from 2015) This will be fourth such blip calendar. Hope to get all the spellings right this time. The extra is of boats caught in the ice. I couldn't decide which was best.
