Bonenkai

Eclectic evening spent with an international crowd of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Canadians and the one Brit. Bonenkai is an end of year party, quite literally 'forget the year gathering'.

Yakiniku proved to be a rather tricky dinner choice - thank the lord for rice and noodles! There was fortunately plenty of beer and saki for the obligatory and frequent rounds of 'kampai'

As the evening wore on I was introduced to Makkŏlli - a Korean fermented rice wine. Reputed to be good for the digestion,  it was consumed in great quantities. Not sure if it did anything to aid my digestion but it definitely anesthetized the pain in my  legs caused by sitting on the floor for two and a half hours.

Tomorrow will determine whether it's good for the rest of me!

Why does Santa have three gardens? So he can 'ho ho ho'!

Happy Friday Blip Buddies!
