Cologne

To Cologne by train.  Interestingly, each leg of the rail journey took around 2hrs - Norwich to London, London to Brussels, and Brussels to Cologne.  The comfiest seats were on the ICE from Brussels to Cologne.

Now in a self catering apartment in Rodenkirchen, which is rather nice suburb of Cologne, on the Rhine.  In theory, we could walk along the Rhine back into Cologne tomorrow - in practice, it's about 6km, and too far for my knee - we'll use the tram.

A big selling point for the apartment is the presence of a balcony.
