Getting ready to leave

Yet another dull day here in Oban. My daughter came over from Mull last night to discuss the replacement of her car at a local garage. She left for home this afternoon on board the 'Isle of Mull', seen here getting ready to load the cars for the 4pm sailing to Craignure.

'Clansman' has her bow door open behind. There are two trains in the station too - a busy place today! The whole of this pier, and more land out of sight to the right, was reclaimed from the sea prior to building the line and station around 1880. The current Shore Street is no longer on the shore!
