Progress Report

Here is my flower field that I first blipped October 16th. Then it was mainly bare ground, but now the self-sown poppies are beginning to bloom, along with fast maturing plants such as baby blue eyes, toadflax, Alyssum etc. One of the foxgloves I planted is flowering. It is pale cream with purple freckles. There are lots of other plants coming on. I hope the display will last for a long time and not be all over in a couple of weeks.

Overnight rain and completely overcast sky, but not as gloomy as last week.
