Luminarie

I took advantage of the brief hiatus  from the rain to go and see the luminarie that began this weekend. In its 21st year, the luminarie is an annual festival of light which commemorates the Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995.

Despite the inclement weather there were plenty of people and the traditional food stalls were doing good business. The rain didn't stay off for long however and I got soaked going home.  Snuggles on the sofa with my favourite furry friend will soon sort me out.
