This morning I went for a walk with an ex colleague and Ruby around Ripley. It was a wonderfully bright and frosty morning and the village was very busy as they were holding a Christmas fair, lots of stalls selling wonderful things. But Ruby was quite hard work on the lead, pulling to greet all the dogs and people ~ I would have suggested a different walking venue had I realised the fair was on. However, we still had a lovely walk along the river and Ruby enjoyed it too. Here you have the ruins of Newark Priory.
