Crossing the Newbridge viaduct

On the train from Glasgow to Edinburgh - a cloudless sky and the dark shadows of the arches on the ploughed field made a striking image. It was a day for pictures from the early morning, when the rising sun caught the winter woods near Baljaffray, to the winter stubble in the fields and the splendour of the 5 star boutique hotel - Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, built in the 17th century.
