Waterfoot Sunrise

Showery Day

After all the fun and excitement of our trip to Edinburgh at the weekend, it was back home to the familiar routine today. For me that meant a morning run to the beach and back.

The first thing I noticed is that there are not nearly as many visitors about. Once the Scottish schools go back there is always a feeling that Autumn is just round the corner and the best we can hope for weather wise is an Indian Summer. September can often be a better month than August in Kintyre, so its fingers crossed that's the case this year!

Anyway, my run was very pleasant, although as the years go by it certainly doesn't get any easier, especially if you have been away from it for a few days and indulging in fine food and drink!

As I neared the end of the beach a dark cloud hung over the southern sky while another appeared from behind me dropping its contents on the shore. Go LARGE to see the result. It was time to about turn and head for home as further showers were threatening.

The afternoon was spent painting the outside of part of the Network Centre, where repairs to the wooden cladding were done last week. Once again, some showers appeared, although with no wind the walls remained dry!
