Grasshopper Sparrow

Our neighbor has a Cecile Brunner rose that has become a monster, but the birds love it. 

The grasshopper sparrows are here for the winter. They are aptly named as they hop around, scratching the ground, searching for seeds. I tried feeding them last year, but the pigeons ruined it for all of us.

I am grateful to be able to look out my window and see these charming little birds.
