Dead men walking

As soon as their ship was damaged, they must have know that they were dead men. It had always been assumed that they would have waited near the stricken vessel hoping for the rescue that they knew would not come.

But earlier this year, over one hundred years after their expedition, a small cache of supplies was found one hundred and twenty miles from their landing point. The only conclusion that could be drawn was that, even though they knew that they had no chance of survival or of reporting on any progress, they had gone ahead with their expedition. And they had succeeded.

A proper, non-nonsense Advent Calendar with pictures of Robins and sleighs and wrapped presents.
