Christmas In New York

Today is our 38th wedding anniversary, and to celebrate, we are spending the weekend in New York City.  What a beautiful time of year to visit, with all  the Christmas lights blazing!

This is the tree at Rockefeller Center.  The place was heaving with people -- it was almost impossible to walk anywhere because of the crowds, but it was worth being jostled and feeling claustrophobic to see such a beautiful tree.  Fifth Avenue was packed as well, with thousands of people gawping at the Trump Tower, the beautiful window displays in the stores, and all the lights -- I've added some extra shots so you can see for yourselves.

Tomorrow, we plan to walk through Central Park, and perhaps go see what's on exhibit at the Guggenheim.
