Escaping the heat

I managed to escape the heat for an hour and a half in comfortable air conditioned surroundings this morning. The downside was that it involved sitting in the dentist's chair and the dentist spent an hour of that time drilling and doing root canal treatment. That is the first of five appointments to sort out the mess from last year's trauma (don't look if you are squeamish!) which left me needing reconstructive work. The heat built this afternoon and I would recommend this nearby spot as a better alternative to the aforementioned; deep shade beneath a canopy of leaves.
