Davaar Island from just before Davaar House

10.2C and mostly cloudy. Some bright spells with patches of blue sky. Moderate WSW/W breeze.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve the Deerhound stayed at home.

Since we had been to Carskey Bay yesterday we drove along to the little car park by the milestone on the Kilkerran road which is marked with one mile to Campbeltown. From there we took Maeve the Deerhound for a short walk then once she was back in the car we walked out Kilkerran road past the 68 mile marker on the Kintyre Way then the Goldsmith's house and studio to the NATO jetty at Glenramskill and the Doirlinn and along the road past Davaar House then round Kildalloig Bay until we reached the 70 mile marker out towards New Orleans. It was very calm round past Davaar house in the shelter under the hill. We saw the Wigeon again. Today some of them were squabbling just off shore. There were quite a few seals around too.

In the harbour the fishing boats were all tied up, MILA was still the new quay, with Ayress at the other side ready to take on wood tomorrow.

Later the Christmas tree was installed in the living room, the new lights put in place and Apothecary has since been arranging the decorations.
