Maeve the Deerhound at Carskey Bay

10.1C with bright spells and cloudy spells. Some blue sky. Moderate SW/WSW breeze.

Apothecary7's day off.

We went along to the garden shop this morning and bought our first ever real Christmas tree. Then it was one or two other shops, not forgetting to get some lights for the tree.

Late morning we went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay where we had a wander with Maeve the Deerhound from one end of the beach to the other and back. Out to sea there was a band of cloud. The clouds had hidden the Antrim coast and neither could we see as far as Ailsa Craig. We did spot a seal in the water who had popped up to have a look at us as we walked along. Over the back of the beach it was clear and there was blue sky.

On the way to Southend we had checked the farm stand for Little Farm. No eggs.

Late lunch.

Later Apothecary7 was drawing.

Afternoon music ... The Rolling Stones, Blue & Lonesome.

Later still Apothecary7 will be off out for the Boots Christmas night out in a local eatery.
