When Fergus saw Snow on the Islands

...  from Westport Beach

2.3C chilly, crystal clear air, and sunny. Very light ENE/E/NE/NNE breeze.

Grocery shopping.

Having seen a lot of snow on Arran yesterday and thinking there would have been snow on Islay and Jura we decided to go to Westport beach late morning. We had  a long walk along towards Machrihanish. There were a few people with dogs, so we chose to keep Fergus on his lead so he doesn't get to think he can run about any time he chooses.

Sure enough Islay and Jura were covered in snow. You can just about make them out on the horizon under the band of cloud. Apothecary7 will more than likely have a closer shot. She likes to zoom.

Believe it or not there was someone in the water with a surf board !

Later Apothecary7 was doing something or other to add to her hand printed Christmas cards.
The big question is ... who will be the recipients when they are posted?

DMC-LX7 f/3.5 1/1600 sec. ISO-80 7mm (35mm focal length 37mm)

P.S. Once again the Blipfoto title field is not long enough grrrrrrrr !!!!
