The sun sets

... on yet another day. Fantastic to have the long weekend, but as can be expected, tough to be back at work!

Had some good moments though in the form of samosas and [chocolate] cake for our boss whose birthday it is next week, but most people will be on holiday.

A really trying bit was the local telco coming to what should have been - just deliver a modem which was promised when I upgraded to a 20mbps line. No idea why they didn't give this to me as promised in November. Now they needed to actually setup the unit rather than let me have it as a spare. I was not happy. Surprisingly, they acknowledged their error yesterday and have offered a bit of compensation. Incredible!

G & I managed to get a few bits of shopping done in the evening. It even involved going to four stores in Dubai Mall (including Kino Kuniya) and leaving there in less than 90 minutes! A record for sure.
