Crystal World

Temperatures have been below freezing for a while so hoar crystals are starting to appear again.
Walking down across the fields to the beaver stream there was one corner where the sun was shining. Here the crystals looked even better in the low sunlight. 
Each blade of grass, each seed head, each twig had its own collection of crystals, glistening and sparkling as we moved.
We sometimes complain about the lack of snow but it's this very lack of snow that allows us to see beautiful and ephemeral events like this.
