Waiting

Double daytime show day today. The girls have been so good and worked really hard, but the crowds were extremely disappointing. The first one was small, but they were responsive. The second one was only 30 preschoolers/their staff. It was awful. The little ones watching had no idea what was going on, so there was no response at all, total silence. The principals started cutting scenes and lines. The pony carriage mashed up the harlequin floor. None of it was ideal! But the girls didn't let the audience size deter them and worked hard.

Katie fell asleep in the car on the way back. The half hour snooze probably served her well and she was brilliant for a relaxed music lesson when we got back. B has got her Hedwigs theme to learn on the piano and gave her a new clarinet Christmas song. In return, katie showed her that she can now play the upper register on her big clarinet by playing the full 2octaves of F major. She was very pleased! Still limited a little as she currently can't reach low E/ upper B but B was very chuffed at the progress.

It was tea in front of the telly and straight to bed after for us.
