Nothing Changed Actually

Inside our most famous museum - the Rijks Museum, home of Rembrandts Nightwatch - I viewed many paintings of ice skating people through the centuries, portraying one of our great national pastimes.

The nice irony is that once you leave the museum, this artificial ice-skating rink is one of the very first things you'll encounter.

A really nice detail is that in the old paintings people used chairs on the ice as something to lean on to while learning to skate…
and as you can see everywhere in this picture nothing has changed actually!
