Quod oculus meus videt

An Evening Soiree, Weston Park

Once in a while an opportunity presents itself to dress up and spend some time in palatial surroundings.  While the majority of my images of Weston Park have been taken in the grounds, this evening we were invited to a small gathering to celebrate 30 years of the park being made into a charitable trust.

We enjoyed canapés and drinks and listened to the Chief Executive make a short speech and reward some of their longest standing employees.

It's funny but I've only rarely been into the house and certainly not in to this room.  We spent a couple of hours chatting and enjoying the surroundings, with an invitation to return for a guided tour.  It was a pleasurable end to the day and took my mind of some other matters that are causing some concern at the moment.

Oh, and for any collectors of autographs you might want to look at the extra.  Not a bad collection of eight signatures!
