Light Up Light Up

What a lovely evening. I went to Sudeley Castle Spectacle of Light near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire with Coffeepotter and Nikonabike, and met Hildasrose and Rob, and Landscapeartist whose brilliant idea it was in the first place. It's the first year that Sudeley once the home of Catherine Parr sixth wife of Henry the Eighth , and the only one to survive, has put on this show. The ancient castle buildings were stunningly uplit and a highlight for me was the candlelit chapel where a recording of Faure's Requiem was playing. The crumbling stonework with red and purple lights was really quite beautiful.
We had mulled wine and stollen to fortify us and spent an hour and a half wandering round in perfect dry conditions taking lots of photos. I have deleted most of mine which were blurred or grainy. You really needed a tripod. Wonderful experience though.
