Nativity

Back Blip.

Early morning rain cleared to give sun and cloud.

We went to El Ejido for a few bits of shopping but primarily to look at the Nativity scene set up in theTown Hall.   I added extras to show the scale of it.   It occupies the whole of the open space on the ground floor.  Alan says it is about 100 square metres!   So much detail and the various scenes depicting the story of Jesus' birth.   

It is set up each year, the admittance is free (I think they could make a charge to collect for Charity), but it is likely that local businesses sponsor this event.

Most shops show a display of the Nativity scene in their windows and the figurines are sold everywhere.

In the Plaza Major, they are setting up children's rides and games, which is where Alan and the choir will be singing on Jan 5th evening.

It certainly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
