Sticky End

Walking along Hag Farm Road the misty morning evaporated into a sunny day.
I'd passed these sticky horse chestnut buds on my way up towards the moor and they looked pretty ordinary.
On my way back what a transformation awaited me as the sun shone on them, highlighting such detail in their glossy, overlapping leaves.
Closer inspection revealed this poor little moth that had come a cropper by getting stuck to it's gloopy sheen.
If you look carefully you can see it's antennas embedded in the bud.

Thank you osuzanna for hosting Tiny Tuesday.
