Icicles...

You KNOW it's been cold when you walk outside and 25 degrees (F) feels relatively warm! I heard on the weather last night that our average snowfall by this time of the year is 8.5 inches, but that we've already gotten 18.75 inches....I don't doubt it! The snow blower's been on overdrive!   :)
Every year this chain around the edge of the observation platform causes the most beautiful ice formations! When it's windy, the water from the Lake shoots up and over the platform, and the cold air does the rest by freezing the water as it hits the chain. We were here last week and there wasn't any ice on it at all, but the succession of below zero wind chill days got it started! :))
