The back view

A short walk at lunchtime between the hail showers with a soft grey light. This is the view across the village from the harbour wall. I can see our iconic garage in it's tin shed and the old pier and buildings where all the boats from Glasgow dropped their passengers to get onto the canal boat and head north. These buildings are renovated and now called the Yot spot which is  a bleak shop, a not so good café and the post office.

Teenager off to the snowball so I need to stay awake in case I am to pick her up. Fire on, carols playing and the tree lights on, it feels Christmassy now. Oh yes and I finished work today for the Christmas break yippee
