Carol Chaos

Today was Asha's last day of school. She happily took in her gifts of biscuits for her friends. At 12 all the parents turned up to watch the kids sing carols on the school steps - this is the entire first 3 years of infantil...so you get an idea of how small the class sizes are! It was quite odd hearing songs like 'Rudolph the red nosed reindeer' sung in Catalan!! The concert was held in the playground, they had a little stand serving thick hot chocolate and cake, which added to the atmosphere! It was also the first day in about a week that it was blue skies and sunshine! Well-timed...
This evening we had a bit of a family Christmas, opened some presents we won't be taking with us....went ice skating...drank sparkling juice out of champagne glasses...it was fun!

A few Flickr pics!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) A really enjoyable Spanish class first thing...including a gift of take out coffee from one of the other 2 women.
2) Watching Asha be relaxed and happy with her school friends...such a joy to watch her in amongst them all.
3) Fond memories...watching the teens skating reminded me of being 13 and skating hand in hand with my (at that time) love of my life!! Heart racing at the joy! Ha!! Lovely memories to have...I can even remember the song playing at the time - Casanova!!
