Barford Bridge

After last night's wild 'mince pie and tea' party, it was quite easy to arise with a clear head :)
My Mum and I made the journey to Oxfordshire, taking it nice and slowly. Once we got off the motorway, we pulled into the village of Barford, Warwickshire, to find somewhere to stretch her legs and grab a bite to eat. 
The small pub there looked promising and after a slow start (they had no orange juice or bitter lemon) we had some homemade tomato soup that was absolutely gorgeous. 
The family were overjoyed to see the patient looking so well. It is only two weeks today since the surgery :)
