Back Blip

It's usually only during spells of extremely cold weather that we get a Fieldfare in the garden, so it was a nice surprise to see him here today. 

I've left all the fallen apples in the garden borders this year, which seems to have been an enormous benefit to the Blackbird population. During the day there has been about a dozen of them vying for the juiciest of the crop. Interestingly, there was particular bird that spent more time trying to stop everyone else eating and in turn, spent very little time getting any food for himself.
