A lovely drive past Bolton Priory over the Nidderdale Area of national Beauty to Pateley Bridge then down to Harrogate and York.

Spent ages looking around York and thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere, buildings and superb weather. Finally needing something to eat we took the choice of a picnic from M&S (may have been BHS) and sat down in a park with many others on the banks of the River Ouse. Angie will never forget her first Egg & Bacon sandwich - she adored it.

So having done the historic and culinary highlights, time to move on to horsey matters, a very good horse equipment shop in Sutton-in-the-Forest (middle of nowhere, north of York). A thing or five were purchased.

Finally moved on via Thirsk, Osmotherly (always loved that name) to Yarm finally reaching my Dad and stepmother, Gwen's house in Middleton-St.-George near Darlington. A lovely welcome, a great dinner and felt really happy seeing them.
