Little Wild Goose Pagoda

China - Day 13 

Xian

The pagoda was built around 1300 years ago. It stands in the grounds of a former Bhuddist monastery, a lovely cluster of gardens and old buildings. The area is busy with local people doing the things that Chinese people like to gather outside to do - Tai Chi and other forms of exercise involving fans, swords, raquets.

We listened for a while to a large amateur orchestra, playing instruments unfamiliar to us with great energy and concentration. (See extra)
