Snow Day

We awoke to an appreciable amount of snow in our yard, and more fell steadily throughout the day. The extra photo is the view from our kitchen window just after 10 a.m.

Our neighborhood is about 650 feet / 198 meters above sea level. Downtown Bellingham is less than 50 feet / about 15 meters, and had virtually no snow. Phil's car has four-wheel drive, so he set off for pickleball at the Y and a couple of errands. I kept the birds fed and tried to catch up with Christmas cards (all going out late), making some food gifts for neighbors, doing laundry, and getting the guest room ready for my daughter's visit this weekend.

I hope the forecast for an additional one to two inches of snow tonight does not come to pass...

(Our young neighbors are more enamored of snow than I am -- see Phil's blip.)
